Greensburg Hunt Camp blowdown: April 2016 flight by jcarrFREE
Published December 8, 2016
In 2012, windstorms damaged large swaths of the forest at Powdermill Nature Reserve. Researchers at Powdermill used this as an opportunity to study the effects of salvage logging on forest regeneration. This scene shows one of the major blowdown areas, with the salvage logged region (center), the unsalvaged-damaged region of the forest, and the intact forest.
This model was created using a Phantom 3 Professional and Pix4D photogrammetric software.
